A Legacy Born From the Storm
Twenty years ago, our family began again in a place we never expected San Antonio, Texas.
After losing nearly everything to Hurricane Katrina, our mother, Shelita, arrived here with nothing but her children and a fierce determination to rebuild. She came as a single mother, grieving the loss of loved ones, the loss of home, and the life she once knew in New Orleans.
Even with heartbreak in her hands, she held onto hope.

Shelita didn’t have savings, a support system, or a plan.
But she had faith, work ethic, and unshakable love for her family.
She tried college but didn’t finish life demanded she work instead.
Still, she raised her children to value education, resilience, and character.
Because of her strength and sacrifices:

- Each built their own unique path
- The next generation continues to grow through that foundation
She didn’t just survive the storm. She turned it into the foundation for everything we are today.
